I guess cuteness runs in the family

Parentals are in town this weekend to see the kiddos and catch a Michael Buble show, so we convened at our house yesterday to watch some basketball and catch up. I still had all my flash equipment out when Sarah showed up, so we put Reese under the lights for a bit. She is 7 months old now and just keeps getting cuter and cuter. Her red hair is starting to grow and she has some steely blue eyes.

Here are some pics from her photo shoot

And Super Cooper made a brief appearance too...We tried to get the two of them to sit by each other, but just couldn't get the two sitting still long enough for me to snap a pic. Here he reaches out for his walking and singing Donald Duck that Frumpy got him for Easter.

And now we see where all this cuteness comes from as Yack models Reese's bunny ears

Today was a big play day down at Sarah's on a gorgeous, blue sky day here in Colorado. Spring is almost here and I am overjoyed at that.

Dancing machine.

Sarah, Jill, Cooper and Reese got together for St. Patty's Day, and Sarah got this video of Cooper showing off his dancing moves.

And a video of Cooper getting ready for bed.

After 65 most of last week, we had snow on Friday and then 60s again today. I got out for a bit to go check out one of the early road criteriums, just to get outside a bit while Cooper was napping. When I got home, Coop was still sleeping so I did a little bike maintenance (even though I can't ride for another couple months). I was outside washing 2 month old mud Nancy the Niner when Jill brought Cooper out to play in the front yard.

We played ball for a while, then Cooper decided he had enough and was taking his show on the road. He took his new football and a snow shovel as his only possessions.

He eventually decided to come back after the offer of playing in the backyard. We played in the backyard for an hour or so, had some dinner and then it was bath time. Snapped one quick pic of him with his super cute puppy dog towel.

Faces of Cooper

Cooper was just running around playing today and I grabbed my camera. The following pictures are shown in chronological order and were all taken within the span of a minute. I marvel at the range of emotion this kid went through in a single minute.

Behold.

Ball. Ball. Ball. Ball. Ball.

From Cooper playing ball

Cooper is completely and utterly infatuated with any ball that he sees or sometimes even something that just happens to remotely resemble a ball. All day, every day its "Ball?" or "Ball." and often its "BALL!".

Spring is emerging, so we got out to the open space in the neighborhood to let Cooper run around, get some play time in and chase the ball around. Gorgeous, blue sky day it was nice just to be able to relax and let Cooper burn off some energy. Its been a long winter for him and Jill being stuck inside with all the cold and snow.

Cooper found some random tennis balls in the open space, that I'm sure where some labrador or golden retrievers at one point

And throw the balls...The kid already has a pretty serious arm

Maybe the only thing that could rival a ball is a stick, so he carried a stick while he threw the ball

Then he decided to practice his golf stroke for a bit

This pic (and the first pic) were from earlier in the day when Cooper found a neck warmer thing in the ski clothing and decided it would be a good hat.

Finally, winter lets up a bit.

From Cooper on the playground

Its been a unusually cold and wet winter for us on the Front Range this year. Sure seems like we've been shorted on our typical allotment of 60 degree sunny days we get sprinkled throughout January to March, but the past week was a welcome sign that Spring is not that far off.

I'm still really limited in what I can do 2 weeks removed from the surgery, but Sunday was so nice out that we did at least venture over to the park to get Cooper out. Our backyard has been so snow packed since Christmas time that he hasn't been able to get outside to play. Its approaching a melted state after a week of mid 50s.

So I grabbed the camera and snapped some pics of Cooper playing around on the playground. He was sporting his sweet new hat too.
